Black Pig Border Morris

Black Pig Border Morris were formed in 1986 to perform traditional dances of the English/Welsh borders along with new stuff written in the same style.

We are based in the Erewash Valley in the East Midlands but travel all over the place to gigs we feel we might enjoy - we are not just in it for the money! (What money?). We practice most Wednesday nights at the Gate Inn in Awsworth.

Our loud and enthusiastic performances have made us favourites with motorcycle clubs and rock music events rather than the folk circuit which characterises similar groups. We also stay up late, play loud music and drink a lot – and welcome those of a similar disposition.
