No Wahala Sounds

No Wahala Sounds has been a record label since 2014, cleaning up and re-releasing vintage East African 7-inch singles, many of which were in danger of being lost.

They felt they had a duty to save this wonderful, vibrant dance music for posterity.

The sounds themselves are either hip-swivelling Congolese rumba, with slinky horns and yearning vocals, or driving, four-to-the-floor, bright, guitar-driven dancefloor anthems straight from the sweaty clubs of 70s and 80s Nairobi.
